How can IT and service provider companies increase the possibility of success of large-scale IT projects? Using variety of approaches and solutions, this question is trying to be resolved in the last 10 years by software developer’s community. Statistics are that only about 32% of IT projects would be completed successfully. One of the main reasons of project failure is inability to combine information (knowledge) and multiply reuse it across the company, and, therefore, lack of appropriate project control. In my presentation I will show an approach to resolve the problem above that IT companies faces all over the world when managing large-scale projects. Instead of traditional technologies, based on using rules, performance-based technologies and software for project management (MS Project, Primovera), we are using a modern semantic network approach which allows us to form and constantly enrich explicit and tacit knowledge base in project scales.
